This is the blog zone. A journal where I'll give a recount of my day to day adventures of mediocrity, to archive my current state of mind, whether it was a good or bad or neutral day. Journalling and documenting the life is an underrated feat, it gives all your descendants and your future self a glimpse into a version of yourself that no longer exists, it ages well, it points out your flaws. I hope you can get something out of any of this. It is not much but it is mine...

The other day, my friends showed me AI generated Minecraft. It uses many examples of gameplay and simulates the game using AI. This technology is mind blowing even now and will be able to do really scary but apealling things in only a few years. I felt my brain losing its sense of object permanence and feel a habitual change in my surroundings that you would never be able to feel in the natural world and only using artificial intelligence. In this simulation, you would look at the ground and look up again and be in a completely different place, or you would find wood planks randomly in your inventory, place it and slowly pan towards to see that you have spawned a whole village, or finding a dark corner and upon turning around, being in a cave. The inventory and falling into water can be visually inexplicable.
Imagine in the future, you have a story game like Life Is Strange, where you get different characters and get to make different decisions with unique gameplay and experiences every time you start a new game. I think it would be a initially revolution art experience that would capture all the time of the average consumer and eventually bring about a complete saturation of consumable content and physical situations or plots. We will be constantly craving this mindlessly generated garbage and will spend all our free time eating it up and then craving more and more, like an addiction.
November 11, 2024 - Mechanical Pencils Vs. Regular Pencils
I honestly prefer regular pencils over mechanical in most situations. My friend that does use mechanical pencils prefers the larger sizes of graphite available than the smaller ones. Just to have a pencil, with a separate eraser and a sharpener compared to the mechanical pencil, the cartridge and a separate eraser again as two options for a long term solution; the regular pencil, separate eraser and sharpener seem more viable to me.
Durability:
I do like mechanical pencils, but one thing that seems to bother me is how frequently these little graphite sticks break as a result of my heavy handwriting. I find that any time in writing, the thoughts begin to flow and I am almost writing frantically, I naturally begin to press alittle harder and the graphite usually ends up breaking quite frequently, ending a wombo-combo writing streak. If i were to step on a regular pencil, get it stuck under a chair or drop it, the worst thing that could happen is for the lead to break and have to resharpen it, but with a mechanical, the whole body could break as a result of the plastic or the mechanism could get wrecked. The graphite frequently breaking over and over using a mechanical is very common for me, and one of the biggest things keeping me from preferring them over a regular pencil. My younger juvenile self would have preferred mechanical pencils but as I grew up, I saw the winner of practicality.
Practicality:
Mechanical pencils seem to be an overcomplicated solution to a problem that was already solved, I understand that there is scenarios where a mechanical pencil is better, such as the antithesis to my problem mentioned in the last paragraph (a regular pencil being too heavy in the way it writes (width) compared to the stable diameter of the sticks of graphite) and for certain drawing operations, but for the regular use for people like you and me, regular pencils seem to triumph. The more you complicate an item, the more potential diversity of problems you could have with it.
Cost:
On a frugal note, mechanical pencils are more expensive than regular pencils, but even then, you can continue to use mechanical pencils over and over again and regular pencils can only be used so much until it becomes impractical (stub). You could get a pencil extension tool to use all of your pencil, but that is only another expense. I wouldn't be surprised if mechanical pencils cost less in the long term.
Overall, these are both good options and it is a tricky choice now looking at the cost aspect, but I think I would still prefer a regular pencil. I dunno, they both have good uses.
November 8th, 2024 - Dream Journal
Today I slept in after having some really strange dreams from the night before. I dreamt that I was walking aimlessly through a retirement home with multiple floors, and every time I went up a floor, it got more and more luxurious. There was many strange rooms, such as a room with many old pianos that an old lady was singing and playing on, rooms out of a weird abstract video game with floating shapes and in that room, an old woman I know from my job at the retirement home, who is always desperately bored, wandering around, trying to get a taste of something sweet from the kitchen, standing in our way. Lately she has been losing her keys a lot and going to the managers for help, even though the keys are always in her purse. She is completely clueless and it is frightening to see. She was in the dream, in that abstract room of the giant retirement home with low ceilings and many little rooms, and an out of style green trim on all the walls. She had fallen in that room when I walked in and when I went up to help her, she began to die and it looked as if she was melting and her soul was purging from her being. I was sad in the dream, but right before she was about to die and stop moving, she restored herself and got up in an instant and began walking again, emotionless. I felt in a lost realm of confusion, a backrooms of some sort.
After that, I had another dream that consisted of me in my kitchen at night with a cool light from the open fridge calmly illuminating the floor of the kitchen, and when I opened the fridge and all the cupboards, it was all packed with chocolate chocolate chip muffins, with chocolate chips scattered all around them in the fridge and the cupboard. I sprinkled a few individual chocolate chips in mouth and then saw all these fictional chocolate cereal brands like chocolate coated Cheerios and chocolatey Frosted Flakes. My sister had left a giant water pitcher full of milk and these fake chocolate brands that she had barely touched. In my dream, I had convinced myself that I had to eat that whole thing, as it would soon get soggy and go to waste if no one ate it. So I started chugging this pitcher, drowning in this fake chocolatey milk and cereal, being sick to my stomach yet continually drinking. I just kept drinking and drinking until the dream abruptly ended and I woke up.
I didn't get a lot of sleep on this day, I'm curious as to why my brain was imaginative when it was tired and lacking sleep but when I sleep a normal amount, sleeping involves a faint blackness until I wake up. If we could find ways to dream every night, our lives would be even more full of experience. Don't even get started on lucid dreams and all that scary stuff. We spend a third of our lives sleeping, we should look into these things. I'll get back to you on that.

A nice monday today, woke up and had classes at 8 again and put some of what i learned to the test, building a black iron and pex contraption in a group. following that i ate a nice sandwich and had theory class which was okay, nothing special. i now have 4 hours to spare, waiting around in the library for my next class, gas tech. i can appreciate that i have build a hobby that i can work on if i just have a laptop or anything to write with, my website. for that reason i have to pack two meals, lunch and dinner, so i have been carrying around a cooler all day and getting funny looks because of it (it doesn't fit in my locker, i need a bigger locker). because of my hobby, i can sit in a cubby in the back corner of the library, listening to elder scroll relaxing music or something that makes good backround music such as that and just type away about anything, including typing about doing that (as i am doing now).
sabbath was nice yesterday, the church community is very great, i get so inspired seeing their homes sometimes as we go to peoples places for lunch sometimes. its awesome seeing a living room without a tv and for entertainment, simply read and talk to eachother. if you do want to watch tv, you could have a separate room for it, but get a relatively small tv, one that does not encourage you to sit in front of it all day. another idea i had just now, would be to incorporate the setup of a home pc with the monitor being a tv screen. i have done this before in my room years ago so i could have an epic awesome screen for gaming and something to watch movies on. it would be the same as having a dual monitor, as you could split your screen and be able to see things alright! putting thought and effort in how you design your house can save or lose you and your family's time in massive amounts over the years. by not having a tv in your living room, you would spend your time towards much better things. what is very important in my life is this the less time i spend consooming and the more time i spend creating things, spending time with people and learning new things (not through consooming) the better. time with other people is crucial in this life.
i have been trying to eat less of foods that contain sketchy ingredients such as vegetable oil, canola oil, or any of the other fake stuff they put in what we eat. it has been very difficult to do that because most of what we eat now is another for our hormones to be altered and our systems inflammed. everything has these bad oils, i want to eat crackers or peanut butter or other stuff and theres always these things on the back. i can really appreciate foods that i hated as a kid more now for how natural they are, such as plain, unseasoned popcorn, beans, pasta, oatmeal, spinach and more. the other modern stuff will weaken you. low income families will resort to margarine, vegetable oil and cheap processed snacks to feed themselves and this will only keep them down. this is one of the many ways the powerful control the weak. they want you to eat fake food in your tiny house with no real possession, captured by stimulating ai generated content all day long, this is our future and their dream.
September 9, 2024
Today I slept wrong, for the second day in a row, my neck hurt but I got out of bed and ate breakfast. Everyday for breakfast I have a third of a cup of oats, a third of a cup of milk and either honey, peanut butter or another sweetener, all mixed together in a little container the night before. Overnight, the oats will absorb the milk and the sweetener, making so I do not have to heat up and prepare oatmeal the next morning. As of now and generally with people my age, when I awaken from slumber, it is usually a pretty rushed morning with not much free time before I have to leave for school or work. Oatmeal is also quite filling and pretty cheap, which is another major reason for doing this.
In my rushed morning, I got out the door by like 7:10 to drive half an hour for my classes at 8:00. The road I drive had construction that I thought would have been done by this morning (as it looked completed) but I guess they had more stuff to do to it. Its winter half the year where I live, meaning that all the street construction they have to do is jammed into half the year. I had to drive around this construction as the road was not closed, but they had one lane where they would interval cars but that was taking too long. After finding my way, I was worried I was going to be late but I made it with like 5-10 minutes to spare.
I am in school right now, learning about plumbing mechanics so today, our second shop class ever, we just learned how to use tools the whole time which was pretty helpful, its nice to have a standard set for things I already might know, as it might teach me something new about how to use a tool. I used some cool new tools as well, like a hole hawg and a copper pipe cutter. I sort of chose plumbing blindly and was worried that I might not like it based on this schooling, but I only find myself liking it more. We also used a crimp thing for PEX piping, which was pretty simple and fun. Following that class, we all just sort of sat around for half an hour, waiting for our next class, plumbing theory.
That class was pretty fun, my teacher explained how wide of a trade plumbing covers, as well as some of the history of plumbing, like in London during the 1800s when it was all really stinky. Things are very tame, being the second week of school, I want more productive stuff to work on so I waste less of my free time.
After that I drove home and decided to be patient and just sit through that construction traffic. Sitting in traffic, you feel so lowly in society, you feel like a waste. I could have just gone around but some sheepish part of me decided to just sit and wait in the traffic. I got home and now I am typing this.
Thought Drivels
the less we come to appreciate nature, the less we appreciate god. urban living will probably result in spiritual suicide.
do I save my own life billions of times every time I drive? every split second I don't decide to veer the car into oncoming traffic, I am saving both my own life and everyone who is with me. I have saved one million plus lives (1 x 1,000,000 = 1,000,000). crazy!
I'd like to go to public areas and just pick up trash. everywhere you look there is so much litter and junk from careless people. this is not for environmental reasons really, I just think we oughta put more effect communally into maintaining public areas. if we can't respect the places we use, why respect anything. its hypocritical to trim your eyebrows then throw your empty drink into the streets you use everyday.
is it worth it to collect so much cut shrubbery and little branches, wait for it to dry out then burn it? it all goes up pretty quickly and is very smoky. I guess if you have mass amounts of it stored up then it can be a novelty of sorts.
the architecture is so modern. they subjectified artistic expression to make it all easier to make. its all squared and optimized to fit our society of creation and absorption. We are like a dirty sponge that keeps soaking up and squishing tainted water out, thirsting for more. we keep finding quicker and easier ways to soak up water.
we keep progressing mindlessly, finding easier ways to bypass the consequences of our sin that God has given us. this makes us blind to the fact that we are bad, we don't see any meaning behind our sin. we can isolate ourselves in our own little world and falsely 'escape' from all the troubles of this life, the only true way out is with Christ.
when I was a young lad, I would always grow my fingernails long and hated the feeling of having them short. I have seen a complete 180 as I've grown up, now the second my nails grow a little too long, I feel an intense need to cut them short. its almost scary how much we change in the span of a few years, all of our cells die and replace themselves every 5 years, meaning that the body you had 5 years ago is completely gone, you are now a different person. foods we all hate or love when we were young become foods we love or hate respectively as we grow up. it's such a sheer reminder of how temporary our physical being in this state is, it is mad decay. our memories remain, somehow, though distorted throughout the passage of time, after long enough, we cannot trust our own recounts.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) - August 24, 2024
This movie was alright enough. It was the sort of the type of modern movie you watch and then forget about not long after. It was within the Harry Potter universe, but is completely separate from that story, it feels like a fan fiction in a way but J.K. Rowling helped with it so I guess it is canonical (which is still irrelevant as it has really nothing to do with the characters of the Harry Potter books. This Newt guy travels to the US to release his big bird in Arizona ends up accidently setting a bunch of his creatures loose in New York City and befriends a former auror that works for american magical authorities as well as a clumsy muggle that acts as their witness. They go around and try to recpature all the creatures in Newt's magical suitcase as well as figure out the issue of this obscurus thing that is flying around and destroying stuff for muggles to see. It was cool to see how the magical community differs around the world, like how they are called 'nomag' instead of 'muggle'. The final battle consisted of this boy who is the obscurus and they try to befriend him but instead, the american ministry shoot a bunch of spells at him and he explodes, and Johnny Depp as Grindelwald is revealed as this other character. The scene where Jacob walks into the rain to get obliviated was pretty good, but the rest of the movie and its characters were not very memorable, just a bunch of action and explosions, I found it hard to pay attention to what was going on. The movie felt like an unnecessary expansion on a universe that they knew people were going to rush to the theatres for, very consoomy. I know it sort of adds biase and further removes me from liking movies when seeing them in this way, but it is a valid thing. Forever making sequels and prequels is not the way, its just a safe way to make money rather than to risk something. This movie was okay overall, probably give it a 5.6/10. The movie did great visually though for the time (fashion, cars and buildings) it takes place in and had some creative expansion on the Harry Potter universe but not very memorable for me.
Chef (2014) - August 14, 2024
chef is simply about a guy who likes to cook food, and when he is put in a situation that limits him from his
creativity, he decides to take a risk and pursue his dream of owning a food truck with his son and his friend. for being
an r rated movie, it is pleasantly wholesome and relazing to watch. since the movie revolves around a chef balancing his
relationship with his son and food, this is one of those movies that makes you crave good food, which i believe it is
trying to do. i rarely find myself desiring food that is of a high quality from something like a movie, but media like
this and ratatouille did so. the movie begins with chef working at a restaurant, always working hard to prove himself
and his ideas until a food critic comes and mocks his work, sending him into a craze of food creativity, creating a
whole new menu. while hes doing all this, hes failing to find time with his son and his son is sad. theres this cool
scene where he makes a grilled cheese for his son that made me really hungry, and this other scene where the son's
tablet backround is heavy from team fortress 2. jon favreau plays his role very well, he is adequately overweight for
the role of an aspiring chef. he does not understand the internet either, which leads him to a big argument with the
food critic online and when he tries his new food menu at the restaurant for the food critic again, his boss does not
let him and he quits. he becomes a viral sensation because later that night, he visits the restaurant and begins yelling
at the food critic like a maniac. this loses him a lot of job opportunities which lets him go on a trip with his ex-wife
and son to start his food truck dream. the rest of the movie is the process of him getting his food truck from ironman,
fixing it up with his son, starting up his business with his friend and his son, teaching his son to work in a kitchen
like that and finding that his food truck is doing very well, ironically because of what dried up his job opportunities
in the first place. they drive all the way back home and he gradually gets closer and understands his son more, this is
the core of his developement, finding a compromise between the relationship with his son, and his passion of cooking
food. when they make it back home and the summer is over, meaning his son has to go back to school, he then decides to
have his son work with him on weekends and after school, and they can consistently spend time together. from here theres
no plot twists, no moment near the end of the movie where the characters get mad at eachother then make up, no villians,
he even makes up with the food critic he hated at the end because he ate at his food truck and loved it, offering the
opportunity for a restaurant. i was so surprised that such a modern movie simply ended happily like that, it felt like
an old movie, when movies would embrace simple storytelling. this is a good good movie, i rate 7 out of 10. i want to
eat now.
Crazy Stupid Love (2011) - August 7, 2024
This was a fun movie to watch, another nice long comedy movie of its time, lets you easily waste two hours on a weekend evening. It stars some people I like, such as Steve Carell who was in other good comedy movies such as this, like 40 year old virgin, where he practically plays the exact same character (real), or despicable me. Ryan Gosling is in this movie too, which means as a guy, I got natural urges to compare him to myself. The plot of this movie is pretty generic, but they found a way to make it exciting. Steve Carell gets cheated on in his boring marriage then meets Ryan Gosling, an And Rotate Andrew Tate type epic sigma character that sleep with women. He then helps Steve get to a stage where he can sleep with the females which is funny to watch as the major differences between these two character makes it funny. There's also a strange love triangle between Steve, his son (who has a crush on his babysitter) and his babysitter (who has a crush on Steve). It's a funny dilemma in itself that is the catalyst that brings all the other plots together. It was cool seeing the actor for the son as I recognise him from Zathura, a space jumanji movie that is not a ripoff because it was made by the same person. The son is pretty funny by being really honest for a kid, especially about how he feels about his babysitter and to the guy his mom slept with. Steve also still likes his wife so it makes him in a state of confusion and frustration throughout the movie as he is both trying to be with other women and somewhat make things work with his wife, who sucks, silly cheater. There's also this whole side plot with this random Emma Stone girl who eventually ends up with Ryan Gosling for bizarre reasons. It is then found out through the babysitter trying to find a way to sleep with Steve that all the plots are brought together and the plot twist is that the Emma Stone girl is actually Steve's daughter. That whole scene in the backyard was probably my favourite in the movie as it was such a shock that made you rethink everything about the movie's structure, that's what makes a good plot twist. So all the guys fight in the backyard and Steve's relationship it broken with his family because his daughter is dating Ryan Gosling, who he knows to be a wanderer with women and because his son knows that his crush likes his dad, which is funny in itself. With like 10 minutes left in the movie, Steve's able to bring everyone back together and it is a happy ending, being able to see eye to eye with Ryan dating his daughter. I likes alot how in the beginning of the movie, Ryan was slapping Steve as Steve was trying to be like Ryan but at the end of the movie, it is the exact opposite, Steve slapping Ryan because Ryan wants to be like Steve. It well summarizes two types of different ways men live their life.I thought this movie was pretty good and fit well in its boundaries for what it was trying to be, I would give it a 7/10. The two main characters and how they interacted with eachother is probably the best part of this movie.
SUMMERSLAM - August 3, 2024
summerslam is massive. I always forget how big wwe really is. there was this fat guy singing which was pretty funny, jelly rolls or something. the match between Ripley and liv was okay, the twist at the end that Dominick is with liv again or was scheming the whole time is funny. The next match with Bron breaker was sort of underwhelming, I would have liked sami zayn to have a bigger match but that's alright. then Logan Paul came out, a guy who I knew through YouTube dramas years ago, now wrestling for wwe which is really strange but cool to see. he does well in these types of environments, playing the same type of character, embracing the heel. YouTube dramas and their overall sillyness sort of resemble wwe's silly dramas sometimes, a cool parallel. this LA knight guy is good too, good with his promo. that match was great, a constant surprise of kicking out eaxhother s pins over and over again, messing with the commentary table and the prime cart thing. its great seeing matches use outside resources, makes it more immersive. some crazy flipping moves in this match, culminating with the maverick trying to use brass knuckles and it backfiring in his defeat. great match that was a rollercoaster of a time. I'm still never gonna buy prime.
the cm punk and macintyre match was fun to watch because the referee was seth rollins, which means the order of the math was badly maintained. they were able to do more extreme stuff like slam eachother into the ring and the stairs. their interractions between rollins was funny as they kept seeing his incompetence as a referee and how much of a distraction he was. it sucks that cm punk didnt win but he did a pretty good job considering their differences physically. after that was probably my favourite match in summerslam, gunther vs. damian priest. they both did a very good job with this match and i was suprised at how much they put eachother through. the slap noises that would echo through the arena when they hit eachother was the cherry on top, and all the slams they did were very impressive, considering how big they are. gunther is probably the best wrestler ive seen since ive starting watching wwe again, he has a very authentic direct style that fits well with his character. there was a part when they were back and forth on the top rope, that was pretty good, as well as the whole mid section of the match where gunther was obliterating priest, followed by finn balor causing a ruckus, giving time for priest to recover. the way matches can just change its narrative in a moment keep you on the edge, especially as right when you think priest is going to win, finn balor betrays him as the second internal rupture of judgement day occurs. he puts gunther's legs on the ropes, ruining the change of victory at that moment. priest looks up at the replay and is blown away by this betrayal, which lets gunther recover and puts priest in two sleeper holds, inevitably securing his victory.
the next match, being the main event, was cody rhodes defending the wwe title against solo sikoa. i didn't pay much attention to the first half of the match but after people started intervening such as randy orton and the bloodline twins, i was hooked again. according to 'bloodline rules', they were allowed to use weapons and people came in, it was a big disaster and that gave it its magic. roman reigns even came in at the end and ruined the match for solo sikoa and cody defended the belt!
overall, summerslam was a very fun event to watch, with my favourite event being gunther vs priest, but other matches like logan pauls, or rhea ripley were really good too.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW - July 29, 2024
I'm pretty hyped for Summerslam. Its cool to see an adequate amount of familiar faces such as cm punk, carlito and
sheamus as well as a bunch of new people such as Dominick mysterious, jay USO or Gunther. I like the commander gimmick
that Gunther has. Been watching a lot of WWE video essays and its given me a lot of insight into Sami zayns past as el
generico, and to see he does comedy too, I wanna see him beat Damian priest, kinda silly name. sami does these crazy air
moves that are really impressive. I wasn't really into women's wrestling when I was younger but I'm also pretty hyped
for the rhea Ripley and liv morgan match. the storyline with Dominick was pretty funny too watch like the 3 words thing
they did. the sami zayn and Dominick mysterious match was very good, especially at the end when all these people came
out going after sami and he handled it all. I love it when the matches fall apart at the end and it turns into unpredicable chaos.
MY RETURN TO WRESTLING - July 28, 2024
Just got back into WWE and I am suprised that I have quickly picked up interest in the stuff again after so many years.
I used to watch it with my brother over 8 years ago and since then, the memories of matches returning and the magic or
pro wrestling is beginning to make sense again. I started by blankly watching muscular men playing out a rehersed fight,
slamming eachother into the ground and that turned, slowly, into an exciting story where you can really feel the pain of
the things they do in the ring. That switch in my brain turned on again and I am excited, right before Summerslam 2024.
Of course WWE has been better in the past, but we do not abandon things after they have peaked, as that certifies that
they will not peak once again.
Thought Drivels
I will not be a slave to indulgences that eat away at both my livelihood and my wealth but I also will not be a slave to
the greed of mindless conservation for the sake of conservation. I wish to be content in my action but not destroyed
from meaningless asceticism, maintaining the idea of purpose in my decisions.
I have and will continue to spend so much of my time seeing how to save and make my money in order to spend it on bigger
things, a family, a home. But beyond that, what is the point? For enjoyment? Will I have to simply abandon my rules for
money when the purpose for doing so is no longer applicable? What's the point of working for money that is only meant to
be wasted by your own boredom. I picture a man in retirement, returning to work to escape the boredom from the
retirement he spent his whole life looking forward to. Are all his toils merely for self gain? I want to have realistic
goals set so that when I achieve those goals in the next few decades, I can not worry about money so much and simply
sustain my being until it stops.
What I am trying to do is to find the lowest possible ratio of money to enjoyment in life and with that, enforcing
humility and seeing all the luxaries that we could easily go without. To see the bare minimum that we can go by on.
the corporation wishes to reduce us to our most sinful and needy behaviors, showing constant dependence towards every
service they provide, and unwilling to find alternatives through our own labour. a religion of unending dependence and
consumption.
